About the Origin
Siko Kebele is home to a community of approximately 400–600 smallholder farmers, each tending plots of around one hectare. Coffee cultivation has been passed down through generations, and much of the coffee grows under shade using traditional farming practices.
At elevations of 2,200–2,250 meters, Ethiopian heirloom varieties thrive, producing the expressive floral and fruit character found in this lot.
The Process
Farmers carefully handpick ripe red cherries and deliver them to the processing facility operated by Rad Best Trading PLC.
The coffee is depulped, fermented and washed with clean water before drying for 10–12 days. This washed process brings clarity to the cup, allowing its white floral aromas, blueberry notes and grapefruit brightness to shine.
